People on the move: New recruitment agency set up

* Peggy Jordan, Debi Rowan and Jackie Wattam are the three principals of a new recruitment agency, Personnel Best, which specialises in advertising, marketing, media and management recruitment. The three have backgrounds in advertising, marketing and communications.

* McDonald's New Zealand has promoted Ian Sutcliffe to national marketing manager, responsible for the development and implementation of its national marketing plan. Brendan Martin is joining the company as market manager for families and children. He was premium category manager for Heineken. He will be assisted by Catherine Kernahan. Tania Haines and Tracy Cotterill have become marketing managers.

* Brent Gemmell has been named sales manager, Bay of Plenty, for DB Breweries, based in Rotorua. Brendon Bass has taken up the new position of area sales manager, Tauranga.

* Property auctioneer Michael Williams is joining corporate property services company Colliers Jardine as commercial sales broker and auctioneer. He has been an auctioneer for more than 30 years and was chief auctioneer for Barfoot & Thompson.

* The Natural Gas Corporation has appointed Philip Manson as electricity manager for its recently purchased electricity division in Hamilton. Mr Manson was the corporation's sales and marketing manager in Hamilton.

* David Kennedy is joining New Zealand Post subsidiary KiwiMail as national sales manager. He has a background in advertising and publishing, including advertising manager of the New Zealand Herald. Kristy McDonald has become sales manager Auckland, and Shelley Tichborne has joined the company as an account manager.
