* Six new principal shareholders have been appointed to four of Beca Carter Hollings & Ferner's business units. Kevin Allen, head of the power systems group, joins Beca Power. He has managed a number of local and international projects, most notably Auckland's 12km emergency overhead power line. Paul White, who recently returned to Auckland after working on the 338m Macau Tower and adjacent entertainment centre, has joined Beca Civil; seismic specialist Rob Jury, heads the Wellington structural section and Dr David Whittaker also of Wellington, join Beca Buildings; Shane Oxenham, head of the finance and accounting section, joins Beca Corporate while Roly Frost who heads the firm's Hamilton office, has joined Beca Roads.
* Steve Taylor has rejoined Times Media Group Ltd as printing division sales manager. He spent a number of years with the company before joining Flint Ink in Sydney.
* Kim Tahiwi has joined Corbans Wines Ltd as assistant management accountant. She was a senior accountant with an iwi authority in Palmerston North. Sanjesh Singh has joined the firm as PC/LAN administrator.
* Leanne Jagger has left the Quay Regency to become assistant manager of the Beachcomber Resort in Paihia.
* Power Corruption Control Ltd has named Sam Taylor as its principal design engineer. He was with Fisher & Paykel Laundry. Tim White has also joined the company to work on the development of new markets here and overseas. He was a financial adviser with Auckland HealthCare Ltd.
* Sharon Butler-Morris is the new general manager of Tauranga-based communications Consultancy Carlin Valenti Ltd. She was editor of Furniture New Zealand.
* Computer training company New Horizons (NZ) Ltd's new general manager is Mark Douglas, who has a sales and management background in family businesses. He will be responsible for the firm's Auckland and Wellington offices and, for the short-term, will also be national sales manager.
* The sales and marketing manager of Xtra, Ian Scherger, has been appointed general manager of marketing for Clear Communications. He will be responsible for product development and marketing of Clear Net data services and call centres, as well as marketing toll and mobile business services. Mr Scherger has a degree in computer science and marketing and has had 17 years in information technology.
