A pedestrian has life threatening injuries after he was struck by a van in South Auckland early today. Police Inspector Andy Brill says the man was rushed to Middlemore Hospital with status one injuries when he was hit on Bairds Rd, Otara, at 12.40am. The serious crash unit is investigating.
