A pedestrian struck by a reversing truck at the Countdown supermarket car park in Grey Lynn is in a serious condition in Auckland Hospital.
Emergency services were called to the crash on Richmond Rd about 10.30am.
The pedestrian, a woman in her 30s, suffered serious injuries which were not life-threatening, Inspector Peter Raynes of police northern communications said.
The woman was taken to Auckland Hospital, where a spokeswoman said she was in a serious condition this afternoon.
Mr Raynes said it was a "low-speed collision'' but the circumstances of the crash were unknown.
