Pedestrian killed in early morning collision

A pedestrian is dead after being hit by a car in south Auckland early this morning, police said today.

Inspector Stuart Latham of Northern Communications said police are investigating the incident where a car hit and killed a pedestrian on Massey Road at 1.10am today.

Police serious crash investigators are currently at the scene conducting a scene examination, Mr Latham said.

No further information was immediately available.
