Pedestrian killed in collision with car

A male pedestrian was killed when he was hit by a car in the Auckland suburb of Ponsonby this morning.

The accident happened at the junction of Jervois Road and Albany Road.

Inspector Matt Sillars said traffic had been diverted around the accident scene but other details were not likely to be released until the man's relatives had been notified.
