A pedestrian has been taken to hospital in a serious condition after he was hit by a bus in Auckland this morning.
Inspector Chris Tate said a 53-year-old man was hit by a bus on Franklin Rd, in Ponsonby, just after 8am this morning.
A St John Ambulance spokeswoman said the man was transported to Auckland Hospital with serious injuries.
Mr Tate said no further details were available at this time.
