Pedestrian hit by truck on Newton Rd, Auckland

A man was hit by a truck at the intersection of Newton Rd and Symonds St in Auckland this morning.

A pedestrian hit by a truck at the top of Newton Rd this morning is in hospital with moderate injuries.

Police said the crash happened about 8.25am, when the male was hit by a small flatdeck truck.

The Serious Crash Unit is investigating.
