Pedestrian hit by car in Tauranga

Emergency services are attending a report of a person being hit by a car in central Tauranga.

Police and St John ambulance are attending the incident, which occurred at the intersection of Cameron Rd and Elizabeth St at 10am.

A police communications spokesman said police were called to the incident by ambulance staff but it did not appear the man was seriously hurt.
