Pedestrian hit by car in Christchurch

A pedestrian has been badly hurt after being hit by a car in Christchurch.

The man apparently stepped into the vehicle's path on Breezes Road not long after midnight.

He suffered serious injuries and is being treated in Christchurch Hospital.
