A pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle in the Bay of Plenty town of Whakatane last night.
Whakatane police are investigating the incident, which occurred about 7.30pm in Commerce Street.
Commerce St was closed between Short Street and Goulstone Road while a scene examination was conducted.
Police said further details will be released when next of kin have been notified.
