Auckland police have named the pedestrian killed after being hit by a truck in the central city last night.
He was 33 year-old Hillcrest resident, Robert Su.
Mr Su died in Auckland City Hospital. He was taken there after the incident on Fanshawe Street at about 5.40pm.
The Police Serious Crash Unit is investigating. Officers have spoken with the driver of the truck as well as several witnesses.
