A pedestrian is critically injured after being hit by a truck in west Auckland this afternoon.
Emergency services are at the scene of the crash on Terry St, Blockhouse Bay.
The pedestrian was initially trapped under the truck, and reportedly sustained critical injuries, police said.
The crash occurred shortly before 3.40pm, the ambulance service said.
The pedestrian had suffered serious injuries, and would be taken to Auckland City Hospital by ambulance, a spokeswoman said.
