Pedestrian critical after being hit by bus

A pedestrian has been critically injured after being hit by a bus on a Mt Roskill road.

Police said the collision happened just after 11am at Stoddard Rd.

A St John's ambulance spokeswoman said one person was taken to Auckland Hospital in a critical condition.

Serious crash investigators and Avondale police are at the scene.

The road is closed between Richardson and Denize Roads.
