Wairarapa College Year 12 Physical Education students spent two days climbing high last week as part of an outdoor experience assessment.
The 40 students learned about the risks and risk management of outdoor experiences at Equippers Indoor Rock Climbing Wall in Masterton.
Physical Education teacher Alistair Payne said the classes focussed on rock climbing and high ropes for an assessment.
"The students had to learn and to carry out safe practices and manage potential risks and learned about putting on harnesses correctly, working together and belaying and rock climbing techniques, " he said.
