The education system is consumed with political correctness, Auckland principal Nola Hambleton says.
"Common sense, personal responsibility and traditional values are a thing of the past," she told the Principals' Federation conference in Dunedin yesterday.
Political correctness had sanitised the curriculum, with restrictive health and safety regulations and prohibitive play, the Manurewa South principal said.
"We are totally consumed with political correctness ... are we leting children be children?"
