Waitaki and Waimate district mayors will receive a pay rise after this year's local body elections.
The Waitaki District mayor, a position at present held by Alan McLay, will receive a 5.1 per cent pay packet boost, taking his salary to $62,721.
Waimate's mayor, David Owen, will receive an extra 3.1 per cent after the elections, increasing his salary to $46,386.
The elections are expected to take place on the second Saturday in October.
