A strike involving more than 70 workers at lawnmower manufacturer Masport has ended after union members accepted a pay offer.
Engineering, Printing and Manufacturing Union (EPMU) and Moulders Union members at Masport's manufacturing plant in Mt Wellington, Auckland, walked off the job last week in response to a pay offer of three per cent.
Members had voted and accepted an improved offer from the company and would be returning to work on Monday, he said.
The improved offer included a pay increase of four per cent plus one per cent over 15 months, as well as an improvement to overtime rates.
"The extra money and the improvement to overtime rates these workers have won will be a well-earned boost to them and their families as they head into Christmas," said Mr Little.
