A stoush between the University of Auckland vice-chancellor and union staff will go to the Employment Court after talks collapsed.
Mediation failed to resolve issues between the university and the Association of University Staff.
The battle started after Professor Stuart McCutcheon refused to meet unions and other university employers for talks on a national employment agreement and a later 4.5 per cent offer to non-union staff.
