One in five workers has had a drop in pay this year.
The Employers and Manufacturers Association's annual wage and salary survey found workers in 9 per cent of jobs had no increase in pay and 22 per cent had pay cuts.
The average overall pay increase was 2.5 per cent, but most pay increases less than 1 per cent.
