Controversial broadcaster Paul Henry has joined TVNZ's rival broadcaster MediaWorks.
Henry has been hired as RadioLive's new drive show host from July, replacing Maggie Barry who left in December.
The former Breakfast host resigned from TVNZ in October following public outrage after he made racist comments about Governor General Sir Anand Satyanand and Delhi chief minister Sheila Dikshit.
Henry is no stranger to RadioLive, having hosted the drive slot when RadioLive first launched in April 2005 and again in 2007.
Jana Rangooni, general manager of Talk Brands, described Henry as one of the most talented radio broadcasters in the country.
"We are incredibly happy to have him back in the industry at RadioLive and we are excited about the contribution he will make to the team," she said.
Henry said he can not wait to get back on air.
"I'm really looking forward to working with the talented team at RadioLive as well as the exciting projects that lie ahead with television."
