Pathway to expo attracts jobseekers

Around 1000 young people are expected to attend the Pathways to Employment expo on Wednesday at Mt Smart Stadium, Penrose.

The expo will bring employers, trainers, teachers and students together who are interested in the catering, hospitality and fashion industries.

Stewart Thompson, manager of the expo, says the event will focus on "real employment opportunities for students".

"When students get the information they need to make informed career decisions they get a greater sense of control over their futures, and become far more motivated to achieve their goals," he said.
