Patch ban moves closer in Wanganui

Wanganui district councillors yesterday took another step forward in their battle with gangs by approving a draft by-law banning the wearing of gang insignia in public places.

The initiative was proposed by the city's Mayor, Michael Laws, following gang brawls between the Mongrel Mob and Hell's Angels late last month.
