Parts of Hutt Valley without power after car crash

Power is out to areas of the Hutt Valley after a car hit a power pole on Eastern Hutt Rd, in the Lower Hutt suburb of Taita.

Police said the car hit the pole near Taita College about 5.45am.

Power was out in areas of Taita, Naenae, Avalon, Kelson and also some traffic lights on State Highway 2, Sergeant Andy Dow said.
