A quirky video suggesting the Lions quit while they're ahead but not expect any special favours from our national carrier is going viral.
Using real lions mulling over last weekend's Wellington victory with dubious British and Irish accents and superimposed over an Auckland landscape the "players" discuss the daunting prospect of an even tougher encounter this weekend at the Eden Park cauldron.
"I can't believe we beat them last weekend," says one of the lions.
"Still this weekend's going to be tough," says another.
They decide to quit and leave for the airport while they are ahead rather than risk losing and wearing the wrath of Kiwi coach Warren Gatland. But in a subtle dig by the national airline over the Lions choice to fly with rival carrier Qantas it dawns on the pride their chance of getting preferential treatment was slim to none.
