Labour and National were out on Queen St yesterday helping with the Wellington Free Ambulance fundraising appeal.
The Times-Age met up with National Party candidate Alastair Scott, who chatted to passers-by, reminding them that early voting was possible at the Masterton library.
He said they had a successful campaign run with the "big blue bus" throughout the electorate, assisted with a team of Young Nats from Wellington.
"We had a very good response," he said.
"The Young Nats, they're used to campaigning in Wellington Central. They said it was just great to see such fantastic support up there [north]."
