An agreement that should put an end to months of bickering and dissent at Aratoi Art and History museum has been reached between the three major players.
Aratoi Regional Trust Board, Friends of Aratoi and the Aratoi Foundation have signed a statement of intent that sets out how all three will work together over issues and future relationships.
In-fighting at Aratoi has been ongoing for months with the board and the Friends locking horns over a wide range of issues.
In recent months a board member was sacked by his peers, another resigned as did the accountant, and the museum's director, Marcus Boroughs, quit to take a job in Auckland.
An independent mediator, David Patten, was called in to review the organisations that make up the Aratoi community in the hope of a peaceful outcome.
