Part of an Auckland motel has been closed after the arrest of six men early today over the alleged manufacture of methamphetamine, police said.
The closure at the Jacaranda Motel in Manukau Rd was to allow a team that specialised in dealing with clandestine drug laboratories to make the scene safe for police officers to search.
The arrested men, aged between 28 and 47, were due to appear in Auckland District Court today on methamphetamine manufacturing and supply charges.
Police said investigations were ongoing and were likely to take several days to complete.
They said the operation involved other locations in the Auckland region.
