KEY POINTS:
The country's youngest killer is back in trouble with the law.
Bailey Junior Kurariki appeared in the Manukau District Court on Friday after being arrested a second time for allegedly breaching his parole.
Under the terms of Kurariki's residential supervision order, he is prohibited from using or being in the possession of "alcohol and/or illicit drugs".
A Corrections spokesman confirmed yesterday the department had taken "breach action" against Kurariki for "non-compliance with conditions of his parole order". It refused to provide any further details.
Kurariki was 13 when he was jailed for seven years in 2001 for the manslaughter of Auckland pizza delivery man Michael Choy.
He was released from prison under strict parole conditions in May, four months before his seven-year sentence was due to end.
However, he was recalled to prison in July for allegedly using cannabis. The recall was later over-ruled by Justice Rhys Harrison who said claims Kurariki had breached his parole conditions were based on suspicion and hearsay.
A subsequent drug test found Kurariki had been using cannabis.
