Prime Minister John Key says the latest terror attacks make it clear Isis terrorists are ramping up their efforts worldwide.
Mr Key, told Newstalk ZB from Hanoi this morning he hoped the attacks would not overshadow trade talks, but it was hard to ignore.
"I hope not. I have not doubt that...the dominate conversation is going to be terrorism and the role that Isil is playing.
"You just can't keep your eyes away from what's been a horrifying 24 hours in Paris and feeling for the people of that city who...just feel very intimidated by these brutal people."
Mr Key said it was important to cut down the support and recruitment process behind groups like Isis.
