KEY POINTS:
The parents of a sick 8-month-old girl have been tracked down and their daughter is now receiving medical attention at Rotorua Hospital.
An urgent appeal was issued this morning for the parents of Oshyana Martin, to take their child back to hospital immediately.
Oshyana was taken to hospital by her parents, Jamie Martin and Wade Stevens, yesterday and they were given the okay to take her home.
However after they left the hospital test results came back showing their daughter was in a serious condition.
When the hospital was unable to contact Oshyana's parents - who it was believed were on holiday in the central North Island - it asked police to help track them down.
While the hospital did not release details of Oshyana's illness, police said it was imperative she be taken to the nearest hospital.
