A house has been damaged after a fire broke out in the early hours of this morning in Paraparaumu.
Fire Service spokesman David Meikle said five fire crews had been at the scene of the large fire in Riwai Street since 1am.
It took an hour to get the fire under control, Mr Meikle said.
There were no injuries or people unaccounted for, he said.
