A paraglider has suffered serious injuries in an accident near Wanaka.
A helicopter carrying St John Ambulance paramedics arrived at the incident shortly after 2.30pm.
One person is being taken to Dunedin Hospital with serious injuries.
A spokeswoman said it is believed to be a crash.
Paramedics were still at the scene.
