KEY POINTS:
Name: Olivia Curtis
Age: 17
School: St Cuthbert's College
Exam: Level 2 Latin
How do you think you went?
Hopefully it went really well.
What mark do you give the exam paper: not achieved, achieved, merit or excellence?
Why? I would probably give all the standards [papers] excellence because the questions were quite easy to understand but they were also challenging. There was a nice variety.
What was the oddest question in the exam?
There was nothing too weird. They were all pretty straightforward.
What was the hardest question? Why?
Probably the question asking you to translate a passage from Virgil's Aeneid and then asking you to answer questions on it. It was a bit tricky because you have to describe it using Latin.
Will you study the subject again next year?
Yes. I really enjoy doing it. It's challenging and a logical subject.
What is your top study tip?
I find doing past Latin exams helps and knowing all your [Latin] verbs and nouns. My last exam was Friday so I had a big break in between to study for this one.
