The Palestinian community will be out in numbers in Christchurch today, at a rally against Israel's actions in the Gaza Strip.
The group 'Justice for Palestine' is calling for an immediate end to the invasion.
Spokesman Tim Bowron hopes people from across the city will show up to the demonstration outside the Canterbury Museum at midday.
He says a lot of local Palestinians have families in Gaza and are worried about their safety.
Mr Bowron also wants people to cut commercial and sporting ties with Israel.
