Two children won't be wriggling around so much in the back seats of their cars; their carers both won booster seats following a car seat safety clinic last week.
The seats were given out yesterday by Wairarapa Road Safety Manager Bruce Pauling to Jasmine Hawthorn and son Jaydn Robinson, 3, and Ngahuia Rimene with niece Nga-Teina Rimene, 3.
Jasmine Hawthorn said she went to the Wairarapa Road Safety clinic last Saturday to get Jaydn's car seat checked.
"I felt the need to double- check. You're never 100 per cent certain it's safe," she said.
Mr Pauling said the clinics are all about promoting safe messages and taking away the costs of installing car seats which many people would struggle to afford.
