Two people were treated for smoke inhalation after a pot on a stove caught fire in New Plymouth today.
Fire Service central communications centre acting shift manager Craig Dally said emergency services were called to the property on Brooklands Rd at 3.38pm.
Neighbours had reported smoke billowing out of the windows, he said.
Two people were treated at the scene for smoke inhalation but did not need to be taken to hospital.
