Pair killed in Whangarei named by police

Two people killed in Whangarei yesterday, sparking a homicide investigation, have been named by police.

Brenda Nicola Gestro, 32, and Kim Douglas Larkins, 52, were found dead in a house on Dundas Rd about 12.30am.

Police said both were from Whangarei.

A homicide investigation was launched and post-mortem examinations and an examination of the scene continued today, police said.

Police were not looking for anyone else in connection with the deaths of the two people.
