There has been another call to set up a public sex offenders register, after a New Zealand-born man convicted of sex offences against children was deported from Australia.
The Sensible Sentencing Trust said the man, who committed a string of offences in Australia, was now thought to be living in Wellington.
Australian police feared children were taken to a soundproof dungeon, found in the back garden of his Queensland home.
The Trust said children were needlessly being exposed to paedophiles, and it was time the government let the public know where they were.
