Australia's richest man, James Packer, is reported to have announced his engagement to model Erica Baxter.
The 39-year-old told a group of friends yesterday at a Melbourne luncheon that he popped the question on Christmas Day.
Ms Baxter supported Mr Packer when his father Kerry Packer died on Boxing Day last year and has been dating him on and off in the past four years.
The pair broke up for a short time this year, but they have been seen together frequently since October when they attended the ARIA awards.
Mr Packer was divorced from swimsuit model Jodhi Meares in 2002.
