Overstayer missing again

A deported overstayer who went missing on her way to China was found in Malaysia - but has disappeared again.

Wang Peng, 54, was hospitalised after losing consciousness in Kuala Lumpur before boarding her flight to China, said Poutama Tsoi, a justice of the peace.

Her husband, 76-year-old Lu Qingzhai has flown to Malaysia to see her, but Mr Tsoi said Ms Wang had vanished from the hospital last weekend.

"We have totally no clue what happened to her again this time."

Immigration New Zealand said Ms Wang, who is linked to the Falun Gong movement, was removed after she exhausted all avenues of appeal.
