The teenager alleged to have killed Taupo man Christopher Currie will continue to have name suppression when his murder trial starts in the High Court at Auckland on Monday.
Mr Currie died on August 19 last year when an 8kg slab of concrete was dropped from the Princess St overbridge in Otahuhu, smashing through his car windscreen, killing him instantly.
The youth the Crown alleges dropped the slab was 14 at the time.
In the High Court yesterday Justice Helen Winkelmann declined an application by TVNZ, TV3 and the New Zealand Herald to lift the name suppression or allow pictures to be taken of the youth in court.
