More than 100 people have been arrested in the Bay Of Plenty, following a two week police operation targeting drugs and organised crime.
The sweeps included raids on 172 properties in the Eastern and Western Bay of Plenty, Rotorua, Tokoroa and Taupo.
Police destroyed several thousand cannabis plants, confiscated methamphetamine and recovered stolen property worth $60,000.
Detective Senior Sergeant Lindsay Pilbrow says police also worked closely with Ministry of Justice officials, who were able to recover $100,000 of outstanding fines.
He warns this will not be the last district-wide drug bust for the year.
