The Red Checkers aerobatic team thrilled lunchtime crowds in Wellington yesterday with a display above the harbour, celebrating its 75th anniversary.
The Royal New Zealand Air Force said the milestone gave New Zealand the ability to celebrate the air force's "proud heritage and culture and showcase the work our air force has done and the role our airmen and women play in this country and the region".
