Auckland saw record turnouts this morning as a huge ocean liner paused in the Waitemata Harbour channel to take in the stunning sight of the packed Auckland Museum Cenotaph at dawn.
Crowds paid their respects at Christchurch and Mt Maunganui as well, whilst Wellington's ceremony witnessed the arrests of two anti-war protestors.
