Our best to tackle the military

There's a treat in store looming for Wairarapa hockey fans on Thursday night, when the New Zealand Defence Force men's and women's teams play against Wairarapa Invitational teams at the Clareville Complex.
Defence Force teams are invariably strong and include the best players the Army, Navy and Air Force can muster. The men's team may include ex-Black Sticks player Jan Peterson. It is a great chance for local players to don the red and green colours, something which hasn't happened for a while.
This season's Dalefield Premier men's team will make up the bulk of the Wairarapa team. The women's team will comprise players from the women's one competition, but could include some from the Wairarapa College team.
The women's game is scheduled to start at 5.30pm, while the men will play at 7pm.
