Quinn threw 52.96m to win his hammer throw title. Runner-up was Richard Callister of Auckland with 51.46m and third Bradley Tarletou of Otago with 45.51m.
Picking up silver medals for Wairarapa on the track were Alison Andrews-Paul and Alex Howden along with field eventer Katie Smith.
Andrews-Paul was second in the under-18 women's 400m in 57.61secs, beaten only by her fellow New Zealand age group representative Shannon Gearey of Hawke's Bay-Gisborne, who clocked 56.41secs. Third in 58.06secs was Charlotte Small of Auckland.
The junior men's 100m saw Howden fill the runner-up spot in 10.78sec.
Winner was Peauope Suli of Auckland in 10.68secs and third was Tom Smith of Waikato-Bay of Plenty in 11.01secs.
Katie Smith showed her recent move into the junior grade would not stop her making her presence felt at the highest levels in the shot put. Her best distance was 12.21m and placed her second behind Maddison-Lee Wesche (Auckland) with 12.45m. Close up third was another Aucklander Ivanya Po'uhila with 12.16m.
Competing in the para ambulant division for Wairarapa was Keelan Ward and he won the bronze medal in 400m with a time of 64.31secs.
