KEY POINTS:
Police are questioning a number of people after the gunpoint robbery of the BNZ bank in Otara, south Auckland, this morning.
A man entered the bank on Ormiston Rd about 10.40am and demanded money from two tellers, Senior Sergeant Richard Wilkie said.
When the man left the bank he was picked up by two people in a stolen blue Subaru Legacy Saloon 1995 model.
Mr Wilkie said the vehicle was later found dumped and another car is believed to have picked up the occupants.
The armed offenders squad later went to an Otara house in connection with the incident.
"A number of people were located at the address and are currently being interviewed," Mr Wilkie said.
He appealed to anyone with information about the robbery to contact police.
