KEY POINTS:
Repairs to Contact Energy's Otahuhu B gas-fired power station have taken longer than expected but the plant is now back up and running, the company has said.
The 400 megawatt station was shut down last week when a leak was discovered in a boiler tube in the plant's steam generator system.
The company said more time than expected was needed to heat treat and weld the tube.
Contact Chief Executive, David Baldwin, said the market had coped very well with the outage.
Contact Energy shares were trading ten cents lower today on $8.75.
