A male inmate at Otago Correctional Facility has been found dead this morning.
Police and ambulance services were called to the Milburn prison at about 7.15am this morning.
The 42-year-old man died at the scene.
Police said the circumstances were not suspicious.
The matter has been referred to the Coroner.
